ABOUT US

Established in 2008 by a young and ambitious UL graduate named Ethan Huynh, Zen hit the ground running by introducing Houma to the modern sushi concept. Despite being 24 years old with no previous ownership experience, Ethan and his crew would persevere and succeed thanks to his drive and passion to provide the people of Houma with a superior dining experience and innovative dishes. And he accomplished this all while employing from within the community. The biggest beneficiary from this would be a young man named Kenni Bergeron.

 

A Terrebonne high graduate, Kenni started as a dishwasher in 2008 and worked his way into a head chef and managerial role in a few short years. Now, as of 2021, Kenni is the co-owner and operator of Zen. Where he and is crew continue to evolve and strive to keep providing our community with the best Japanese food in the area!  Now, 15 years after we first opened our doors, Zen has been recognized as the staple destination for Japanese food in Terrebonne, Lafourche, and St. Mary parish parishes.
